Craptized Framerate on a 9800m GS

Yes.

Question is, WHY?!

I mean, I can run other games: TF2, Assassin's Creed, other more graphically demanding games than CE fine. But in CE, everytime I look out to the wilderness (open areas) the framerate dips to something somewhere around 14...15 FPS, then looking at the ground, it's a glorious 60ish (thanks vsync) WHY?!

I do, indeed use Windows Vista
I do, indeed am using drivers 181.22 m
I do, indeed ran out of ideas.

Decal bug mb? Anything in the 8000 or above series fucks up badly when exposed to decals.
