Always thought the Venator looked better than the original Star Destroyer.

Fucking skill right there. And shit, it can even hold its own weight... just wow. Nvm it's glued.

The coolest things I ever made with LEGOs were mechs from brickcommander.com :(

E : whaa....

Well, it's just a wild guess but I estimate that we used about 35,000 pieces, give or take a few thousand

Frackin' amazing. The most offbeat thing I ever built with Legos was the NSDF Grizzly Battle Tank from Battlezone.

How scared do you think they were the first time they put it on that pole?

Hm? It's glued like all the other super-sized LEGO creations out there... I have the Official LEGO Star Destroyer and Millennium Falcon which are like 5k pieces each or something, but they're built to support there own weight without glue.

every lego piece in that model has a connection. so they should hold their weight (well to me it looks like it could on a standard lego stand...) but every super-size are glued so if it does shift in shipping you don't actually have to put it together again.

Dude, it reminds me of the childhood I never had. We went to the store around Christmas and we saw the Death Star and Star Destroyer play sets. WHERE DID THE YEARS GO?! :gonk:

No, unless that's a solid construction (it's not) it would bend and crack in half due to weight. My Star Destroyer bends on it's stand and it's maybe 1/4 the size of that.

E: Also forgot to mention, I was talking to a Master Builder awhile ago (like many many years) and he actually burned me the model design software that they used at the time to build models with working instructions. And no, it wasn't the Lego Digital Designer program that's publicly available to anyone. It's basically that, on steroids, with better graphics... It was made for Win 95 PC's though, and I have no idea where this disk is atm... I'm going to look around and post it here if I find it.

I should show this to my physics/math teacher, he's an AFOL (adult fan of lego) who belongs to a lego club here in Victoria. The scale of this thing is amazing as well, I wonder how much it weighs..
