Okay, so I have a zalman cpu fan in my computer (this one I think havent checked numbers but it looks exactly the same
http://www.zalman.co.kr/ENG/product/Product_Read.asp?idx=274

Ive noticed fan has been going a bit slow, so I checked with speed fan and it says its running at 2,000 RPM. I was hoping for it to be running at full power, but the fan control (the black box that comes out of computer and adjusts fan speed) is broken, the dial can spin round and round and fan speed doesnt change.

Does any one have a way I can set the fan to be at a constant high speed?

lol, img fail.

anyway, when i hooked my fan up i didn't use the speed control thing, maybe that is the faulty part?

try hooking the fan directly to the mobo without the shitty controller.

-edit- my zalman came with that same shitty controller.

Whoops I clicked copy image instead of copy image location :D

I'll give that a try later today when computer is cool. You can buy new controllers but I dont really want to, I never ever change the speed and having that box hanging out the back is a real pain.
