I am stumped. I had itunes with my whole library on my old machine. I then formatted my C drive and installed Vista onto it (all my music and files were on a second D drive.
1: I installed Itunes, went to the music/itunes folder, and replaced the "itunes music library.xml" with the old one. I then delete all the other library files such as the .itl file.
2: I start Itunes, and it reloads the library I had just replaced, not the new one.
3: I then go turn off "read only" to the whole itunes folder, re-replace the libary, same thing.
4: I remembered something like this the first time i did it. I had to close ituneshelper.exe, and that didnt work.
What the hell?
