I lied. =P Just practicing some modeling techniques and need a ship design for animation class, and I thought i could kill 2 birds with 1 stone.
Pavallon class assault cruiser
No weapons platform have been added. I ixed semi organic, smooth and crude metal designs into 1 ship. Length, right now, should be around 1400m (I might change the size).

Might we see a wireframe?

Looks like it needs something up front, could be just me though; like to offset it from just being a oval shape

wow, I'm hating that hexagon engine thrusters/curved hull clash.

the odd organic shapes on the surfaces ruined it for me

Yeah. It looks like someone drizzled hot glue all over it or something.

lol, yep.
Make those patterns sharp crevices between plates so they don't have that odd vein like look to them.

It's a strong organic figure mixed with hexagonal shapes, does not flow well at all.
Also wireframe.

Give the middle part some more detail. Maybe put some kind of rotating ring(s) area on it for gravity simulation (for the crew).

the main body is medium resolution, and your engines and such are way higher resolution. I can't tell what the thing under the hull is even supposed to be. You need to do more than extrude polies of primitives.

When you first learn to draw, they make you make primitive shapes to get a feel for the size of each object. I am just getting basic structure down, the same as making those circles and boxes for head and body, before making in depth details
Edit: OMFG i really hate that phrase.

Let use this base for an example, you can break it down and say it is basic extrusion of primitives. It works because it has a design you know of; same thing with r2d2. I can break every model down into its primitive shape when looking at it. Hell, the biped modeling tut I’m following, all you do is extrude from primitive. You go back later and edit it to look like a person.
Saying that is like saying a sketch is nothing but lines or a painting as nothing more than colored oil splattered onto a canvases.
