View Full Version : [HALO 3] Latest Xbox 360 Update and Halo 3

I have a very small and very quick question. I wasn't on LIVE at all yesterday,s o when I turned on my 360 today, it asked me to apply an update. I downloaded and installed it, then I was at my dash again. However, something was a little different.

Under the My Xbox screen, the big slide that reads "Play Halo 3" was plain. Instead of the picture of the Master Chief, it was just an image of a disc on a green background. Is this just me, or do others have the same problem? The only other game I've tested this with is GTA IV, and that's fine.

It happens sometimes, but that's normal. The game should, and probably will, run fine.

Well yeah, it runs fine. I'm just stumped why this would have been removed in an update if it was.

Since the update, Halo 3 has had slight lag every now and then, along with some decals not showing up. I have the problem with the disk picture as well.

Yeah, some stuff just doesn't show up until it is all completely loaded. It'd be like going into Halo3 and waiting for it to retain all of the server info. If you want to see the disc decal so bad, go into Halo3 then go back to the dashboard. :P

All the problems fixed themselves today. Melee in H3 seems to have a slight difference in it though...

That's probably just you, since there hasn't been any major Halo 3 updates since AU2.

I've noticed that the game image for the play disc slide is downloaded from XBox Live, i.e. it doesn't appear unless you're logged in. When I was off the internet, none of my games would load an image for the slide.

Were you logged into LIVE after you updated? If you were, it might be a server-side issue.
