Android - An Open Handset Alliance Project
The Open Handset Alliance (http://www.openhandsetalliance.com/), a group of more than 30 technology and mobile companies, developed Android: the first complete, open, and free mobile platform (http://code.google.com/android/what-is-android.html). To help developers get started developing new applications, we're offering the Android Software Development Kit (http://code.google.com/android/documentation.html).

Android has been used in the G1 since like October or November dude. iPhone OSX is till the best out there though, but Android could overtake it if they allow it to be open sourced again.

Damn that thing is cool, the new Palm coming out looks very interesting, a competitor to iPhone, yes its not got the full capabilities of iPhone but I'm hoping there will be a big price difference.

The Palm Pre is better than those, possibly even beating the iPhone because it does right what Apple did wrong.
It's only downfall will just be no iTunes. But we're talking about a phone, not an MP3 player. It has the Amazon MP3 store, anyway.

Still, with Apple's selfish new patent, it limits other phones from the ease of navigation and gesture utilization the iphone had.

Couldn't all of the stuff in those videos be done on the iPhone? Sure, the stuff in the second video would require Apple to physically update the software, but the stuff in the first video could be done with iPhone apps, too.

They're going to lose. It's basically a patent on generic use and natural motion/gestures. They can't do that.
It would be the same as if you were to patent "pressing a button makes the player on screen jump."

Yeah, some company will challenge it in court. (Like Apple did to Microsoft's "Portable Digital Audio Player" patent).

Palm is currently getting ready to engage Apple over gesture and tech patents.
Also, why the heck would you buy a Blackberry storm!? I feel sorry for you dude.
