I think he wants a WCIII key.

Hey, buck, at least he didn't ask for any program for it.

I don't remember but...were you able to use your starcraft key to play on Warcraft (because battle.net checks those keys, something, something).

Other way around there sherlock. And if you are trying to tell me I can walk into a gamestore and get a return/trade-in on just a cd key... well lets just say that cannot be done.

Aren't you clever. I thought I was clever too when I decided I would look around to see if anyone wanted to trade for something I don't use, that is worth a lot more than what I am looking for.

Please people this is simple, I'm just looking around for a trustworthy person that wants to trade (or donate lol).

Can I ask why you have just a cd key? You seem a little dodgy to me.

Yeah, I had a friend that purchased the game but his computer didn't run it very well and he didn't like it much. So he asked if anyone wanted the cd key so I took the advantage and said sure. I didn't like the game, so now I'm looking to put it to use for someone that may want it and trade for something that I want. (wc3 because I want to try DOTA lol)

While you seem well-intentioned, I'm sorry but there's no guarantee that no one's giving up a legit cd key in exchange for a bogus one and so on. Bartering works a lot better in real life.

I never had wc3. He bought crysis wars, didnt like it and gave me the cd key.

You make complete sense but there are some people out there that can care less and have nothing to lose lol.

btw, I am no longer looking for a warcraft 3 cd key. I need a warcraft 3 frozen throne cd key :O

Like I said, ask him to give you the Crysis cd, then take that to the game store, trade-in and buy the game you want.

Most stores don't allow you to do that because they figure that you have the key written down and are trying to:

1. Obtain another key.
2. "Steal" another game by installing the game on your PC and then returning it for another.

Don't be a douchebag to people when you make your OP so ambiguous and then jump on you for it. Hopefully your new rep bar will discourage you from that. I'm sure plenty of people who would have helped you won't bother now that you've come off as an asshat..

You can often exchange an open game for another game of exactly the same type (in the event of a bad CD).

Don't trade CD keys though, you're not fooling anyone.
