My snowstorm ended in early January after leaving me trapped in the house for over 2 weeks.

But a couple times in February, snow has fallen overnight, then by midday it complete melts. Crazy weather.

We got some rain here in upper Illinois, flooded some things, but it's evaporated enough for us to go to school. I don't really care, we have ISATs (Illinois Testing thingie) and those are probably hell to make up.

Yep, just love the temperate climate here!

Actually, in a couple places in town, some of our piles of snow haven't quite finished disappearing yet, but that's real compact crap. We haven't had snowfall to speak of for a month now.

As for random people hitting mailboxes... awesome. I know of a house a few streets up that had the entire road-facing fence taken out when someone smashed through after losing control... on level ground... in a school zone.

Nor'easter headed our way. Dope weatherfags predict about 15", but I'm taking that with a grain of salt. They're never right.

Would be pretty awesome though.

Ended up with about 4-5 inches. No school today, and with our county being the bunch of pussies they are we'll probably get tomorrow off as well. It still seems to be snowing on-and-off, but that could just be wind blowing snow off of trees. I want to see one more GIANT storm hit us eventually like the one we had in '02 (or was it '03?) that gave us 3 feet of snow and a week off. I can't remember a time we've had over 6 inches since then.

Walked out the door right into about a foot (though I think that was caused by drifting snow).

My city is infamous for not plowing streets right, so the roads are treacherous. I saw at least three people spin out and fishtail right in front of me on my way to the bank, Dunkin Donuts, and back. I ain't goin anywhere in this crap.

We're about to get hit with some rain in the Long Beach/Orange County area. I'm happy because with all the rain we've been getting it means bigger/more fish when I go beach fishing, but at the same time I'm unhappy because rain means a growth explosion of string algae in my pond. I kid you not i pulled at least 5 pounds of the shit out of my pond last time after it rained.

It started raining a week ago here in CA and there seems to be no extended break in sight. Yet it won't affect the drought we have here because all our water comes from the sierras :downs:
