Okay, I'm sure at least a few of you have heard about this through xkcd or some other source.
Anyhow, it's a good way to learn stuff if you're too :downs: to understand wikipedia, or it's hilarious to read and compare if you're :eng101:.
The premise is to make a wiki based off of "simple" english- dumbed down so that anybody with a below-high school education can read it quickly and with zero confusion.
Observe the difference:
Original, first paragraph:
In military (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Military) and law enforcement (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Law_enforcement) terminology, a sniper rifle is a rifle (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rifle) used to ensure accurate (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Accurate) placement of bullets (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bullets) at longer ranges than small arms (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Small_arms). A typical sniper rifle is built for optimal (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Optimal) levels of accuracy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Accurizing), fitted with a telescopic sight (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Telescopic_sight) and chambered for a military centerfire (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Centerfire_ammunition) cartridge (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cartridge_%28firearms%29). The term is often used in the media to describe any type of accurized (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Accurizing) firearm fitted with a telescopic sight that is employed against human targets.
Simple! (The entire article)
A sniper rifle is a type of gun (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun) used to accurately shoot targets a long distance away. A person (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human) who uses a sniper rifle in the military (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Military) is called a sniper (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sniper). Almost all sniper rifles use a scope (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sniper_scope), a special telescope (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Telescope) that allows them to see targets very far away. Sniper rifles come in two different kinds: bolt-action (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bolt-action) rifles, which fire a single shot and then the user must ready the next shot,[1] (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sniper_rifle#cite_note-M110-0) and semi automatic rifles which fire a single shot each time the trigger (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trigger_%28firearms%29) is pulled, and automatically readies the next shot for firing.
Anyhow, go read up if you want another waste of time! :v:

Halo: Combat Evolved is a shooting video game (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Video_game) that starts the game series called Halo (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Halo_(series)). It came out in 2001 (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/2001) for the Xbox (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xbox) at first and then was released on the personal computer (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Personal_computer) later. It became very popular and has made a lot of money. Many people say it is the Xbox's "killer app (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Killer_app)", which means the best program for a system. Because it was liked by so many people, there have even been 4 books (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Books) written about it. Halo is rated M for mature.
That's it?! Now I think that page sucks, haha.

finally i can understand string theory!
String theory is a scientific theory that uses complicated mathematics (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mathematics) and physics (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Physics) to try to explain how the universe works.
It is usually agreed there are only four important forces (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Force_%28physics%29) in nature:
the force of gravity (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gravity)
the electromagnetic (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electromagnetism) force
the strong nuclear force (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strong_nuclear_force)
the weak nuclear force (http://simple.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Weak_nuclear_force&action=edit&redlink=1)
String theory tries to explain these four forces using one single theory (or unified field theory (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unified_field_theory)). This may also be a theory that can bring together other physics theories all at once.
If the string theory is true, it is one of the few theories that could explain why there is gravity (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gravity). It explains gravity through quantum mechanics (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quantum_mechanics). With older physics theories, this was not possible.
String theory does not make guesses that can actually be tested by scientists (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Science) today or in the near future. Some people say this makes the theory unscientific.
vs
String theory is a developing branch of theoretical physics (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theoretical_physics) that combines quantum mechanics (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quantum_mechanics) and general relativity (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/General_relativity) into a quantum theory of gravity (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quantum_gravity). The Strings (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/String_%28physics%29) of string theory are one-dimensional oscillating lines, but they are no longer considered fundamental to the theory, which can be formulated in terms of points or surfaces too.loal'd
Quantum mechanics ("QM") is a part of physics (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Physics). It explains how certain very small things behave. These things are called subatomic particles (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Subatomic_particle) and electromagnetic waves (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electromagnetic_wave). Quantum mechanics is mathematical (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mathematics). QM is important to physics (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Physics) and chemistry (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chemistry).lollllll

Warhammer 40,000 also called 40K is a table-top (http://simple.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Table-top&action=edit&redlink=1) game (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Game) in which model (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Model) armies (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Army) fight against each other on miniature terrain (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terrain). It is played using dice (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dice) to decide what happens and a ruler (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ruler) to tell how far a unit moves.
Each army has many types of weaponry (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Weapon). Each type has different strengths and armor piercing value (AP). There are also different types of units in each army. All units have different statistics (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Statistics) which the players use to their advantage when playing.

An orgasm is a sexual (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sexuality) climax or peak. In a man, the feeling happens at the same time as he squirts semen (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Semen) out of his penis (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Penis). In young boys, the feeling in the penis may happen, but there may be no semen. Semen release usually occurs only after puberty (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Puberty) has started. Orgasm occurs as a result of continued sexual stimulation. During an orgasm, there is a strong feeling of excitement and intense physical pleasure. Sexual stimulation may be sexual intercourse (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sexual_intercourse), hand rubbing and squeezing, called masturbation (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Masturbation), or other activities that excite the sex organs. Sometimes, a person may fake an orgasm if their partner cannot make them have one. This is so their partner does not feel inadequate because they couldn't make them orgasm.
During an orgasm, a person's body usually spasms (shakes or trembles) and the person's brain activity changes quickly. When a man has an orgasm he feels a very strong and incredibly enjoyable feeling in his penis, which gets very stiff. As he ejaculates (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ejaculation) he releases semen (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Semen) through his penis (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Penis) tip without trying to. The hard penis becomes soft again after an orgasm. Female orgasm is also very enjoyable, but female ejaculation is much less common. Orgasms can happen when people are asleep. When men ejaculate in their sleep, this is often termed a "wet dream."
An orgasm happens for many animals when they have sex, in a similar way.:gonk:

To bitch about something means to complain (http://simple.wiktionary.org/wiki/complain) about it
Bitch is a profanity (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Profanity) sometimes used against females :D

Microsoft Corporation is a very big company (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Company) which makes computer software (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Software) and videogames (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Videogame) all over the world. Bill Gates (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_Gates) and Paul Allen (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Allen) started the company in 1975.[1] (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft#cite_note-bbc-timeline-0) Microsoft makes Windows (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_Windows), Microsoft Office (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_Office) (including Microsoft Word (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_Word)), Internet Explorer (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_Explorer), MSN (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/MSN), and the Xbox 360 (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xbox_360). These are just the most popular products (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Product_%28consumer_goods%29) - they make a lot of other ones too. Most Microsoft programs (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Computer_program) cannot be downloaded for free (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Free) - people have to buy them in a shop or online. Some products (like the operating system (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operating_system), Windows (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_Windows)) are already installed when people buy a new computer (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Computer).

A camera is a tool (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tool) that takes pictures (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Picture) (photographs (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Photograph)). It uses film (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Photographic_film) or electronics (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electronics) to make a picture of something. A lens (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Camera_lens) makes the image (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image) that the film or electronics sees.
A camera that takes one picture at a time is sometimes called a still camera. A camera that can take many pictures in a row is called a movie camera. A camera that can take videos (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Video) is called a video camera (http://simple.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Video_camera&action=edit&redlink=1) or a camcorder.
All cameras are basically a box that light can't get into until a photo is taken. There is a hole on one side of the camera where the light can get in, and this is called the aperture (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aperture). On the other side is a special material that can record the image that comes through the aperture. this material is the film in a film camera or electronic sensor in a digital camera. Finally, there is also the shutter, which stops light from getting in until a photo is taken.
When a photo is taken, the shutter moves out of the way. This lets light come in through the aperture and make a picture on the film or electronic sensor. In many cameras, the size of the aperture can be changed to let in more light or less light. The amount of time that the shutter lets light through can be changed as well. This also lets in more light or less light. Most of the time, electronics inside the camera control these, but in some cameras the person taking the picture can change them as well.Augh, the stupidity :gonk:
The Internet is a large group of computers (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Computers) connected by wires (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Computer_network), used to send information quickly between computers around the world. It consists of millions of smaller domestic (http://simple.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Domestic&action=edit&redlink=1), academic (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Academic), business (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Business), and government (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Government) networks, which together carry various information (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Information) and services, such as electronic mail (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electronic_mail), online chat (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Online_chat), file (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Computer_file) transfer, and the interlinked Web pages (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_page) and other documents of the World Wide Web (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Wide_Web).
The Internet can also be a dangerous place. Information people put on the Internet is not always checked.
Some websites may trick people into downloading (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Download) viruses (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Computer_virus) that can damage a computer or spyware (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spyware) that spies (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spy) on its users. E-mails can also have dangerous files "attached" to them.
In Internet Chatrooms (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/IRC), people might be preying on others or trying to stalk (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stalk) them.

:poke:
but seriously i cant read this.
Penis size in humans
The length and thickness of the penis is different for different men. The size of a soft penis (not erect) is much smaller than when it is erect. Some penises grow more when they get hard than other penises. In most cases, whether a penis is big or small, it can still be used for sex. It averages out to be around 3 to 6 inches long when not erect. The average size of an erect human penis is between 13 – 16 cm (5.1– 6 in).[1][2][3] The average circumference of a penis is 12.3 cm (4.85 in) when fully erect.
but cool, i'm above average :D

The word “idiot” comes from a Greek (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greek_language) word idiōtēs meaning "a person with no professional (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Professional) skill". The Greeks often used the word to describe someone who would not (or, sometimes, was not allowed to) appear in public. In this sense it was sometimes used to describe women (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Woman) and slaves (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slave).
In Latin (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Latin) it was used to describe someone who was uneducated and did not know much.
By the Middle Ages (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Middle_Ages) the word seems to have become used in its modern meaning as someone who does not have much sense. There are a lot of these out there in the world :haw:
