Good Screencapture Program

I am looking for a screen capture program with a function to select areas, select windows, or just the entire desktop for capturing images. Video isn't necessary.

I had a thing for my vista sidebar but I lost it since I don't have the sidebar anymore.

Well I use XP but I had the vista sidebar. I dont want it anymore so I was looking for the lone tool.

Try and hunt down Grabber2k. It lets you screenshot a specific window, the entire desktop or an area. Doesn't take up any resources at all, sits in the background and will capture jpegs at an alright compression.
