View Full Version : How do I create glass?

So I've got this map, but I need to add a glass texture to some of the windows/doors, but I'm not sure how to do it. I don't think the HEK came with any glass textures, so I'm really lost here.
I know I'd use the % to make it two-sided and all, I really just need a texture I think.
Can anyone fill me in?

First off, glass uses its own shader: shader_transparent_glass
The HEK comes with some examples, look in each folder in the levels folder.

Thanks a lot, worked perfectly!
Also is it possible to create textures by screen capping them straight from Guerilla? The current texture I'm using is out of place.

Use uvw/uvw Unwrap in 3ds max/gmax to get the textures place where you want and point in the direction you want them to.

Yeah, open a bitmap, view it, screenshot it, and then crop it so you've got the highest-res mipmap. Then do it again for the alpha channel, and save it as a TIF as if you were going to recompile it.

Or you could use the bitmap extractor firescythe made. Search for it on halomaps (www.halomaps.org)

Which is slow as hell. It takes forever to extract anything over 256x256.

Only for you then. I just extracted a 1024x1024 bitmap instantly, and with no errors.
