Yeah, I think most of them just don't know how to load custom maps. Lots of spanish speaking people in 1.00ce. What i've done to try and get people into a game is use SAPP's feature to switch between server versions on the fly. Too bad it really only works for stock maps due to your aforementioned observation.

Right, I know this. But If I can get kills faster using the BR and the Sniper Rifle at range, and before the enemy gets close, why the fuck would I do that? However I use the AR all the time, it's my favorite weapon on cmt_snow_grove, and I use it and the Spiker exclusively in most games.

Yes but when you're facing other players that are just as good as you are on normal maps, the AR is useless most of the time. However, I usually just use the Pistol/AR all the time because the AR has sufficient stopping power for close range battles, and it's a waste of time to get the Shotgun.

The AR/pistol combo is pretty much the be-all and end-all in most maps. The pistol can counter genuine pistolwhores and also serves to drop shields quickly, so it only takes a burst or two of AR to do someone in.

I need to get in on this..inferno can vouch cause all I bitched about in that 100 cap server was the over use of the cancer gun and my lag spike problem

I honestly would choose the AR over the cancer gun (the halo 1 pistol) when it comes to both MP and SP on snow grove I utilized the MA5K, Plasma Rifle, Assualt Rifle (AR was always one of the two weapons on me at a given time), AND the underpowered bullet hose that was the SMG

you know you play CE to much when someone shows you two very awesome maps and you find it a shame no server runs those maps (solitude and corrupt are beautifully done)

you also know you play to much when you warrant an attack from some pissy 8 year old who comes into a server with a different version of your username in an attempt to troll you (oh what fun, 4 at once)
