Vista-esque In-folder Search

Is there any way to get that nifty in-folder search function that vista has? The one thats really quick and all?

That little nifty thing in the top right corner...next to the address bar.

I have a program that does it, but its not in the folder taskbar.

Any help?

you could try to find a vista theme for your OS. im not sure how much functionality can be emulated using themes, but its worth a shot

Yeah, the themes dont work. Its just part of the theme.

I think (But don't count on me to back it up) that a function like that would have to be built directly into explorer.exe-- unless you can find a replacement for explorer to browse for files in (which I would highly recommend NOT EVER doing), you're pretty much stuck with that app.

There's a windows 7 beta out, search function included-- you could try using that for a bit (But that shouldn't be your only reason for downloading w7 :v: )

ViSplore is capable of searching for both files and folders inside of a folder. It works really well. It's also a standalone program and won't replace the regular Windows Explorer so if you don't like it, you can just uninstall it.
