COD4 Patch Error

-Fresh Install of COD4 on my Vista
-Game Installs fine, Runs fine
-Run a patch, have tried most of them: 1.3, 1.4, 1.6
-It will get to where it starts transferring files, copies the maps, and then throws this

Feature transfer error
Error: -2 The System cannot find the file specified
-The patch installation crashes, and it has now deleted my executables in my program files folder. (iw3sp.exe, iw3mp.exe, and some other game files)
-I ran the same patch files i have used forever,

What I have tried
-I have re-downloaded them from both file planet and gamer's hell.
-I have reinstalled the game multiple times
-Running setup and patches as Admin
-replacing the entire Program Files folder with one from my old XP installation, which ran 1.5 but still did this when I tried to patch.

I googled this problem and the only hits were for people who downloaded an illegal copy with sculptra's crack or whatever. I have a legit legal physical copy of the game.

They're incremental patches, you need to install 1.0 -> 1.1 -> 1.2 -> 1.3 -> ... -> 1.7, have you tried that?

No they aren't. 1.4 and 1.6 were independent and didn't require the previous patches

But yes I have tried that

When I fresh installed my COD4 I had to use the v1.05 patch before it would upgrade to v.106. Then v1.07 came along which installed flawlessly and i got to play with my super awesome map pack. :v:
