When I try to log on I get this error that says something like:

I realize my meddling and farting around in places I am not supposed to tweak led to this, but how do I fix that? Anyone have a Kernelbase.dll I could download for w7?

Would that even fix it?
Well I didn't get any answers online so again [sigh] I have to resort to making another [sigh] thread asking for tech help.

Its actually that either your kernelbase.dll is messed up, or whatever accessing it is.

Well [sigh]
I made another partition and installed w7 on it
copied all the files in my system32 to the broken one
and after my shower I will see if it works.

Toodles.

and you didn't run the repair option to see if it would save you the trouble of having to do that why?...

took the words right out of my mouth. Copying the kernel from another computer, since technically it may not be compatible with your exact os version, isn't exactly a great idea. But fuck it, it probably worked, right?

Yeah,
I tried that and no go.

And I got it working now by reinstalling it again and moving the working files to the broken ones.
