After careful consideration and study, I have decided to veto HB 353...

While protecting children from inappropriate materials is a laudable goal, the language of this bill is so broad that it likely will be struck down by the courts as an unconstitutional violation of the Dormant Commerce Clause and/or the First Amendment...

Score one for us. Tbqh, I was surprised he went through with the veto, considering the massive majority in the senate.

Wow, most of the stuff in that bill is about advertising prices on items. Theres a small snippit in there about selling an item not intended for an age group to said age group, but most everything is about advertising sales prices and stuff between competeters.

btw heres the bill http://le.utah.gov/~2009/bills/hbillint/hb0353.htm

Good. THis is the same as the explicit lyrics bullshit. If somebody has the money, they should be able to spend it on what they want. Its there money, and its there time >:|
