Underwear: Do we NEED it?

Honestly I do not see any reason for wearing it. The Question I get asked everyday is "Well doesn't it hurt? I mean like wouldn't you catch your dick in your zipper?". But to shoot down that I always tell them about how my penis is nibble enough to avoid the rapture of any bloodthirsty zippers. and I do believe I am not the only one whose penis is the same way.

Seriously , what IS the point in wearing it? Keeping warm?? I've never felt a difference what so ever. And that goes for comfort too , my jeans feel the same inside them as my boxers.(which i own 2 pairs of but idk where they are)

Also my biology teacher made a comment once about testicles , and that there is a REASON why they are on the OUTSIDE of the body , and that is to keep them cool because they're not suppose to get too warm anyway because it kills sperm.

I would think for washing purposes. You generally don't need to wash your pants as often as your underwear. It's just easier to wash your underwear every week, as most people have more underwear then pairs of pants. I'm guessing most people have 2-3 pairs of jeans. Kind of a pain to have to wash a pair every day, or all 3 every 3 days.
