CMT, Zteam and Bridge CE Merger Anounced.

This has been in the works for quite some time, but we finally feel it's time to announce this. As you know, both CMT and Zteam have been working together and sharing resources and help for the longest time, dating back to SPV1. Since we both stopped posting updates, we've been working on... merging the mods. The teams are now working together, and things have been progessing quickly. We're not ready to show you pictures, but soon we'll be able to show you all of the custom ripped content that we've been working on.

Now Rob Opwalar has been providing alot of assistance to CMT as far as SP scripting goes, since he and Lodex are both the most expierenced as far as SP scripting goes, but he has been to busy to be assimiliated into the team. So instead of joining us he is working in a partnership. Some of his Bridge CE content, will be part of SPV2. This means we might have ODSTs, high poly pelicans, and any of the other content he is working on. for Bridge Ce, he will have acess to the whole CMTZ (our new name) tagset for Bridge CE. No, this doesn't mean Bridge CE is now part of CMTZ mod, it means CMTZ mod is now apart of Bidge CE.

Expect multiple updates in the comming days.

They never get off of the ground because either they are full of idiots who can't even type a correct sentence, or because they want others to do all of them work themselves: "hey guys I have this rly rly cool idea, which makes me cool too, idk how to do it though so somebody else has to do it for me...".

Do not lay the blame that newer mapping teams do not succeed on the skilled mapping teams, or even other senior members of the community, because that is not the case. With enough determination, anybody can succeed in modding the game, you don't need someone to hold your hand all the way, or spoon feed you the information.

Well, think about it.

Let's say CMT went and always gave assistance to every crack mapping team that asked for help or content. CMT's production would most likely be slowed to a crawl, and for what? I'd imagine about half of these teams wouldn't actually make anything, and just fall off the face of the earth within a month. Tops.

The fact that there's only a number of prominent mod teams in this community says something about the general community rather than the map teams. It's a fact of life that people higher on the proverbial food chain will only consider bothering with you if you prove yourself in some way. I will admit though, attitudes of some people don't exactly encourage budding newbies to blossom, but then again, I don't have much faith in the type of players Halo attracts to begin with after being here for over 4 years (and doing retail for 3 and a half :v:).

My somethingteam mod wouldn't be half as done as it was if i wasnt up late at night bugging leet about my broken weapon, etc trying to fix it. People actually give out more help than you think.
