As for what happened, the generation of people who knew what the fuck have moved on. Nights I spend playing CE tend to consist of picking a populated server and griefing kids over chat with TF2 character taunts, since said populated server is a stalemated CTF on Blood Gulch or Snow Grove. %-)

However I'll admit CE is going to shit. I've been banned from quite a few servers recently, dedicated mind you, for 3sking the admin. I got banned from that East Cost Snow Grove 24/7 for "wallhacking," and I didn't say a word. Admin abuse is getting out of hand. If they're not host, they ragequit. If they're admin, they rageban.

I miss the days where No Remorse, Mystic, and H2CE map dedicated servers were always available. And even now, I miss Banfree Snow Grove 24/7.

I like CE, its still fun for me, apart from my lame internet that warps around like crazy (sometimes warping off a cliff) despite being 1.2 megs download and .8 megs upload. I go by generally any random name. It may seem like I'm mad and whiney but I just enter that shit to pass the respawn time and for the heck of it. You shouldn't take my frequent messages seriously. Since everyone is complaining, why doesn't modacity make a ce server like on TF2? Make the server locked, and announce the password here, so only modacity members can only play on the server. Have a good map line up and you can have the old, civilized gameplay yall used to have. Only problem is usage, I don't think anyone would put the time into it only to have it empty.

Yeah, they have a bigger playerbase. However, it's because of the fact that CE 1.00 is the pirated version of CE. I sometimes switch my server on the fly between versions to bring in players when games in 1.08 are low on players and i've noticed that they tend to have 150+ pings tho. Yeah, my shitty wireless connection epic fails when I play online. I can barely connect to servers, when I manage to find a server that I don't lag out of, the following happens to me:

And then people ask me why I never play CE :(
