This is painful to watch. There are much better ways of doing this. Starting with simply running it to a higher value- seriously, after a day or two, you're not going to be able to notice the difference. As has been said more than once, you'll get better results by running an external app, and it will take less time (but more effort- maybe that's the problem here? :effort:)

I like halo lightmaps, and can't stand to have super sharp shadows in an engine where everything else looks awful.

...really though, I agree with you. Just release the goddamn thing with default shadows so this doesn't end up in the waste basket of WIP's. Part of being an artist is knowing when to back off, even if in your case it's just a lack of caring...

The reason mine failed was because I launched a SoftTH installation of Halo CE without my third monitor hooked up and it locked up my system. Was forced to reboot. I was down to 0.06 as well.

The 3 problems that currently exist are not new. It's not only isolated to fog, either. These problems have existed for the past 3 weeks, and even before you did the final lightmaps when I told you to fix some minor things. The reason these problems even exist is because you couldn't care enough for the past month to do things right or to listen to the visual bugs.
