TUTORIAL:
First off, you are going to need some kind of Editing program. I suggest GIMP.

Now, you are going to need to take a configuration file from a theme in your RocketDock folder. You skins folder is located at "C:\Program Files\RocketDock\Skins". Open one of the folders and double click the "background.ini" file.

Notepad will now open up. In there, it should be set up like this:

Image = bg.png
LeftMargin = 0
TopMargin = 0
RightMargin = 0
BottomMargin = 0
Outside-LeftMargin = 35
Outside-TopMargin = 20
Outside-RightMargin = 35
Outside-BottomMargin = 0
This defines the boundries of your Skin. All you will really need for this is a background, a seperator, and an Indicator picture.

The best format for this is .png since its has a higher resolution. Now for the fun part.

Step 1.
Open up GIMP, and create a 704x134 image. From there, you can make your design.

Here is an example background image:

Step 2.
Now its time to create an indicator. You want to make these as small as possible, I used a 14x14. Here is an example indicator:

Step 3.
Last, but not least, a Seperator. The default size for these is a 7x32 image.
The Seperator I made is a little too transparent to show.

Step 4. Throwing it all together.

Now that you have your images made, you now want to put them in one folder. To get a "seperator.ini" just copy it from another skin, they are pretty much all the same settings.

The "seperator.ini" should look something like this:

BottomMargin = 5


There you go! You have your first skin!

Just put it in your "C:\Program Files\RocketDock\Skins" folder.
