These are two original maps from Halo Combat Evolve that I happen to come across. I figure some of ya might enjoy the classic maps of Dammnation and Wizard. Show enjoy. They're number 23 and 24 on my file share --> http://www.bungie.net/stats/Halo3/FileShare.aspx

Yeah, Forgehub is having a contest for remakes of H1/H2 Xbox maps (excluding Chill Out, Lockout and Zanzibar), and I'll be remaking Gemini, and Rob and myself will be remaking Chiron.

I made a Tensity-esque map (http://www.bungie.net/stats/Halo3/FileShare.aspx?gamertag=ArteenEsben) in Sandbox (slot 6), but it could use a bit more polish. Sorry, no pics, since I'm planning on redoing it sometime.

Wow, now I really want to get Live gold and the map pack as soon as I get home. These look far better than any maps made in Foundry.

I'll tell you this now. Bloodgulch is indeed a fun map but sandbox doesnt have the right shape for a remake of bloodgulch. I seen people attempt to try to make it and fail. If you do happen to still try to make Bloodgulch I advise you to use the top part of snadbox because it is the biggest.

It would be a lot harder to make everything align properly in the sky bubble. Besides, Tension had walls surrounding the map, so its not unprecedented. If someone wants to make Tensity in the sky bubble, go ahead. I'd love to see it!

There are weapons. You can see them in the pics. There are spawns, too. I think the map only supports Slayer, Oddball, KotH, and Flag at the moment.

Anyway guys I just recently played on a Bloodgulch map type. It is kinda sloppy but they were able to block off the the guardians from killing you. The map is on my 19 slot and is named Pyla. I bet is someone really wanted bloodgulch back, they could forge it to be a little bit smaller because it is to huge to be bloodgulch and it can be a little but cleaner. Arteen, the sky bubble is rather annoying, I can see why you use the pit instead of it. I want the floor to be solid, :/

I'm going to do a heavy's version and a light version.
Also I'm PC cod4 and we don't have prestige but we have mods with custom rank up systems. Modern paintball ftw.

Machine gun turret glitch through the invisible barrier and the teleport glitch to get far enough out to block the lasers.
I didn't make the laser block canvas though it was a friend. I just know how he did it.

How did you even get up that high?
He could have downloaded it.
Its done by placing a teleporter outside the grid on the skybubble, which lets you go closer to the towers than ever before. From here you can so whatever you want to them.
Also, this gives you extra room in the skybox for those intense builds.

Are you attempting to give me advise to make it work better? Or are you just defending it?
The only reason I find it annoying is that I'd rather have a solid ground to work from instead of building it first.

Well yeah, but in forge it acts as a solid ground. If you are making a map that doesn't need a falling death mechanic, then its perfectly fine making it on the second or third level, but the skybox is for those blackouts, guardians, narrows, ascensions, lockouts, gephyrophobias, and boarding actions.
I just thought you meant that it was a pain to forge in. Its literally the exact same as the others.

Yah, I sometimes feel like building something big, bigger than the two other spaces allow, but the problem there is I would have to build the ground as well. I never put any thought into a falling death mechanic, and I clearly understand it's purpose. Tyty =)

The sky bubble chews through too much of my budget to be feasible for a fairly large map.
I tried to do a Halo spin on the first stage of the TF2 map Dustbowl up there, running out of resources/hit the object limit the first time when I was making the Red Base's floor. Then I tried again on the Sandbox ground, since I thought I would need a lot of room (the Crypt is the smallest area). But, since I needed to seal the level to prevent people from escaping, I built a frame and used up all my resources trying to seal the level.
So THIS time I'm building it in the Crypt. Its hardly anything like Dustbowl anymore (lol), but I completely finished Red Base (looks kinda ghetto, but I'll be adding in things to make it look nice once I finish Blue Base) and I still have about half the starting budget, and I should be able to squeeze in Blue base as well. I've barely even TOUCHED the top level besides the removal of spawn points, so that right there is quite a bit of money if needed. So I guess the Crypt is the way to go for these things.

Bungie had a good explanation of their budget system in one of their updates, there's more to it than that.

More than likely checks first if any maps or gametypes have out-of-bounds changes to them, like static scenery, or whacked values in gametypes.

Well the way I could "theoretically" make a OLN blank canvas is by removing the nulled slots in the user map file.
When a item is created it takes up a slot in the user map. When the object on the map is deleted instead of removing it from the user map it just nulls it out. That is why when you delete a item it doesn't lower the OLN. By removing these chunks of data from the usermap we free up OLN.
Simple as that. We could make a new gamertag and upload the modded OLN and see if it gets ban. If not then WOOHOO!

I doubt that Bungie could detect a map with a reset OLN. As long as the OLN itself in total does not exceed the old OLN, then the Bungie detector thingy should not be able to tell the difference. Now if you were to release a map with an unlimited OLN, or if you were to submit a map with a reset OLN to a Bungie member who could do math, then yes, they would ban you.
Now I could be wrong, and if I am, don't blame me for your ban.

Then don't put it on your fileshare. Can't you just host a game and invite those people in while playing that map? Those people can then save it from the recent games. Just keep doing that. Keeps them from noticing it in your fileshare.

I would, since all I ever do in Forge is dick around anyway, I hardly ever put things on my fileshare.
