problems with online chat in halo CE

i join a game on halo ce.

I tried to say hi, but when the text box appears, it was blank, the bar showed, but whatever i typed did not,

same goes with the chat, i couldn't see what anyone was typing.

So i restarted halo, but the problem didn't go away.

Someone Help?

i just did that, i clicked "upgrade"

and then clicked "install now"

then it didn't work

i tried "repair"
but that didn't work either.

Does the bar work at different resolutions? I see chat but not that bar where you type, unless it's at resoltuions halo supports. I forget how I fixed it last time (i'm on a new install with it broken again).

i tried changin my screen resolution to all of them, none solved the problem :(

will uninstalling and reinstalling halo 1 and ce help?

Heh it showed up near the top of the "New posts" and I definitely saw someone post something today.

At least you got it to work...(of course, you were typing during the gamenight)
