""When you go to prison you can also be raped," Mathis said. "We may see young people who make the wrong choice and go to prison and are assaulted repeatedly." So, yeah. There that is."

Grand Theft Rape: Liberty Jail.

I can see it now.

And I can see myself not buying it.

Edit: This would make a good Wii game. You would have to use the Wiimote to balance the soap.

Do I want to play a game where I get raped?

I sure as hell don't.

I'm actually kind of happy this is out.
I'm glad they're making a game like this because there is a lot of people who don't exactly realize the consequences of their actions. I hope this will inform them if they are interested enough to buy this. Which, surprisingly enough, I actually don't have a doubt this shit will sell off the shelves, i mean seriously, who doesn't like a violent game that lives up to the roles of the real world and laws? (ie. Grand Theft Auto)

Obviously, then you'll be able to walk around telling everybody that you get raped every night.

And this game sounds like it's going to be...interesting, for the lack of a proper term. I'll see what it's like before judging anything.

WTF. Is it just me, or is the Imitation Judicial Systems getting more personal since Obama got in office? Just saying....

Judge Mathis hardly represents the Judicial System; he's a TV judge. some judge with enough personality that he happened to land a television show, and is now (at least somewhat) famous for it. The only reason he can make this game is because he's on TV, not because he's a part of the judicial system.

Remember the movie American History X?

Edward Norton's character gets some "treatment" in the shower during his prison time.

Actually prison rape is extremely common, as is getting beaten and stabbed. Prison is just a collection of criminals, why wouldn't it be like that?

Even though I've always thought TV judge shows were beyond preposterous, anyone who's been to prison or works in the system can tell you that it pretty much fucking sucks.

no matter what you do, if you go to prison, you're up shit creek

Will not be getting this game. Seems like a waste of resources to me. If you're trying to reach out with subtle tips for troubled youngsters' moral choices, it doesn't seem to me that these are the people who are about to buy something labeled "Judge Mathis Presents:___" In fact, the only people I can see buying this are do-gooder parents, and people living the lie of "Oh, man, you totally have to see this, it was so stupid I couldn't resist buying it" to hide the shame of paying -any- amount of money for such a ridiculous game.

It almost strikes me as the old stereotype of the embarassing parent: popping their head in and spouting decade old catch-phrases. Appealing to the youth is never as simple as it sounds, and this seems like a case where if you build it, they will not come.

The only reason I'm getting this game is for the lol factor. I could care less whether or not it's a 'good game' or has a 'good message'.

I will RENT it for the lol factor, but I will not waste $60 on a game that sounds like The Sims: Get Raped in Prison Edition.
