Isnt it good to have a tree in the lung? Doesnt that mean you can breathe underwater or something with something converting all your CO2 to oxygen?

it wasn't actually a tree, more like a sprout...all plants that grow from seeds don't even use sunlight during their "infancy" (they get nutrition from the seed while their leaves develop). I think the "tree" was already dead by the time it was removed, but it's still causing a blockage in the lung.

Sounds about right. I seriously doubt it ever would've grown any larger, but that doesn't mean it wasn't doing some serious damage already. Even a small foreign object can really wreck your lungs, let alone a 2-inch fir sprout.
