I only just found out about this, and from the reactions I got when I linked a few members here, I'd guess I'm not the only one who was in the dark. So, without letting myself go into longpost territory:

Probably the most visually impressive Source mod I've seen so far. It's absolutely beautiful, the environments own, and the story sounds interesting.

Some teasers to get you started:

Note - No, it's not Pripyat, though you could be forgiven for thinking so. It is, however, based very heavily on Pripyat. When you think about it, this kind of makes sense - since they're both supposed to have been model workers' cities, basically.

Reminds me of a map in CoD4 that took place in some semi-destroyed apartment complexes.

Looks amazing from what I've seen.

Like I said, they used Pripyat for reference; CoD4's levels actually took place there. If you've played STALKER, it also features the city.

So the area in STALKER and in COD4 may actually look mostly the same?
and which stalker?
Damn, I gotta get my copy of Clear sky back from my friend :U

SoC. Not sure if CS has Pripyat, though it probably does.

I'm also not sure if they even look entirely the same, I'd hazard a guess not. They probably changed the actual city layout for gameplay purposes, though the resemblance is obvious.

I thought the first image was a real hallway and you were going to tell us how a single raindrop turned into a hurricane etc. etc. etc.

I can't wait for this.

This looks great, and the backstory is pretty cool too

Holy asstesticles

That first picture of the interior made me think "lol shoop" but the closer I look, the more plausible it seems.

Now I just need to see how it looks in motion; Source always looks better in stills than in gameplay.

I remember seeing this on ModDB a little while ago and being wow'ed by it.

Really impressive stuff.

At first I thought it had something to do with TÅ¡ernobyl but the actual story sounds interesting anyway. And those screenies

Assuming they use the same sounds for the weapons as they did in that sniper animation video, they're one of very few mods OR devs to actually get the sound of a bolt-action rifle firing just right... the only difference from the real thing is the lack of a sudden pressure hit on your ear (yeah, I shot a .22-250 a few times without earplugs, aren't I terrible).

This reminds me of the flashback in Call of Duty 4 so much. Very depressing and old. I can't wait until it's released.

I really like the art style there, I like the view of a lost and destroyed world, that somehow seems safe and at home, like in Fallout 3

I love this shit. But I have no idea what the mod is about. I don't see any battling or enemy's so maybe its a really cool like "mystery" game where you have to look through the rubble and dodge traps and escape building that are collapsing and stuff all to figure out some long lost secret.

Or its a shooter.

If you checked out some of the videos there, you'd see that there's going to be atleast a bit of shooting (seems to be stealthy from the one video I watched).

I watched the one where the rebel was telling him to basically kill the guards while they weren't looking. Kinda chilling actually (the voice acting is damn good). O_o

Environments and voice acting seem spot on. I just want to know what you're actually gonna be doing in the game.

NEW VIDEOS, SCREENS, THE LOT.

This rivals STALKER for atmosphere, and that's not the kind of thing you say lightly. It looks astonishing, too - even more than before.
