I finally got lens for my SLR camera that's been sitting for god knows how long and started shooting stuff (and so did my friends).
The set up for these shots were...fuh... but I was amazed at the quality.
yes, shut up, i gotta clean my sensor...

Decent photos, but you should also consider lighting. Additionally a subject is not necessarily interesting because it has low depth of field or a fancy angle. The subject itself should be initially interesting, instead of trying to make it so via playing with depth of field, or as many do, over-editing.
You do seem to have a grasp on composition though. Just try something with a bit more context to it, the photos don't really explain themselves very well.
Also, I think you need to consider your background and maybe foreground a bit more, as all I really see is focus on the middleground, thrown into some random background.
Keep it up, you've got the potential to take great shots, and I've heard the 10D is a good old reliable camera.

Not my dog, I wish I had one though =/

Seems like Black and White is in...cuz it don't matter if you're black or white.[/mj]
Though I do need a little help with this photo, I find it appealing, but it does seem boring after staring at it for a good five minutes.

How do I shot better?

I like this one. It's very visually appealing, at least to my eye.

Great photos man, that last one is epic. You should really size your photos down though and save them as high quality (~95) jpegs, so they load at a decent rate on slower connections.

You should still link to the full-quality PNGs and make them available, I'm using that last one as a wallpaper at 3360x1050. e: As in... I took what Aerowyn had quoted, downloaded it, opened it in GIMP and cropped/scaled it to my liking. No idea what you're going on about... The last "good" one, none of us thought that small strip of clouds as an actual picture, but rather left over scrap.

Well I'll provide the links when asked for, but the last one is not available in that size because I cropped it from the original and ended up at 2027× 276... You can take a look at the original (http://www.majhost.com/gallery/greyfrey/Randumb/antannae.png) and crop it to your desire.

Looking good. Also, when shooting a pure white object like your dog, overexpose by 1/3 a stop or more, because the light meter in your camera is trying to render the whole scene neutral tones, resulting in pale grays, rather than whites.
Composition's good, lighting's good, just keep an eye on your exposure. All yours shots are underexposed, and while it works for the cityscape photo, it doesn't do much good for the rest.

Oh lol I thought you meant the last last one.
Also, is playing with the exposure settings in Camera Raw the same thing as adjusting aperature/shutter speed for the lightmeter?
Seems like it to me.

No, it's not. You can push/pull an exposure in raw, but it's never the same as doing it in-camera, for you'll either get graininess or contrast issues.
