You need a dedicated GPU? That brings up the price up by a lot, and drains your battery life.

Dell XPSs. The XPS 1530 has all but the Blu-Ray player and 500GB stock, so I'm sure you could get it for cheap now (when I got it it was around 1000) including all of those specs.

Sony does laptops that fit those specs, but I warn you they have the shittiest cooling fans in the world in them. Its as if the hamster turning the wheel in the charges gets its breath run through it

Does anyone know if the G50VT-B1/A1 have the additional hard drive bay? The G50VT-A1 states that it has 640GB (320GBx2), whereas the other two models just state 640GB/500GB and lack the BluRay drive (I don't need one in a laptop so I don't care). I'll get a G50VT-B1 if it still has that extra hard drive bay inside for expansion (another 640GB in RAID stripping maybe) because it has a faster processor (T9550 vs T9400).

Shit son, for that price (even the Newegg one), you could get a much better laptop complete with a GTX260M and whatever CPU you decide to place in it, with your choice of WSXGA or WUXGA screen...
Search Sager NP8662.
