Can't connect to servers

I can refresh the server list just fine, and it will crap out thousands of servers, but when I try to join any of them, they all say "Server is not responding".

It's annoying not being able to play on any servers.

This problem has gotten worse to the point where the only way to join a server is to follow someone on my friends list into one. Every server on the browser is not working for me, and for some reason TF2 is not keeping my history. I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it, and that did nothing.

I can live for now following other people into TF2 (good way to find the better servers), but I'd like to know how to fix this problem so that I could join some servers I like.

I know it has to be something with my server browser and not my connection, because there is one server that I can join easily if I follow someone else in, but I cannot connect to it from the server browser (or from a direct IP connection).
