Really, I need help. I know what to look for, but I want assistance.

A motherboard in a Dell computer just died (blinking amber power light) and now I need to get it back up and running. I don't want to go through Dell, though.

It needs to have/support:

Pentium D processor (minimum) (also LGA775)
SATA (1.5 or 3 - doesn't matter)
RAID 1 (preferably Intel's)
ATX form factor

I'm crossing my fingers to get something for under $50 from a good name manufacturer. I'd prefer to not have a no-name motherboard.

Today sucks. My new flash Zune died and now this motherboard. fml.

I would send you my mobo...but you're not using AMD =/

What socket is your Pentium (not sure if Pentium D has its own socket or encompasses multiple).

^ Those don't have RAID dude...he wants RAID, notice the BOLD letters on RAID in the first post.

Finding an ATX motherboard that supports Pentium D (without BIOS flash), has RAID, and is ~$50 is tough...will a mATX suffice (mATX fit in ATX cases and line up with the back side just fine).

I ask, because THIS (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813500006) seems like a good deal to me.

Doesn't dell do stuff to its components to stop people upgrading, like I heard they change the power connectors and stuff so that people can't replace the shitty power supply with their own.

Only for the older models.

That is the only ATX motherboard that has everything you've specified.
