Trying to get my xbox 1 controller working with Crysis.

I'm looking for a tool that converts controller movements to button presses-- I've seen it around but I just don't know the name or a good description of it. This would also help me with my problem getting it to work in HL2 and all of my other games.

Or: I'm looking for a way to get Crysis to recognize my xbox controller as an xbox 360 controller. Either way would be great.
