Used to have an internship @ $9/hr, 40-hr-week working for these guys (http://enivate.com/) totally rebuilding their software interface. That was last summer and, for a few weeks, after school earlier in the fall. It's doubtable that I'll be able to come back. Year before that I worked in a different department (technically for the parent, but it's all in the same building and on the same floor) for $8/hr, 40-hr-week doing IT stuff.

Helping out my mom at the tutoring centre where she works (trying to make my summer productive). I...try to help tutor a bunch of kids in math and science, and my pay varies from zero dollars to $20 in a day. Don't have an official pay because I don't officially work there.

Half the time I'm helping my mom's boss with computer trouble, heh. Business skyrockets up at this time of the year (April to June, around major exams), but then it slows down a lot during the summer, not surprisingly.

My real job: Stealing cars in Liberty City, average at least several thousand dollars per successful job.

I'll probably be working for my dad doing some manual labor this summer. I estimate like $10/hr, hours unknown.

I also might be able to get an internship in the IT department of the company where my mom works. Will pay 15$/hr, probably at least 5 a day.

Used to be: Futureshop Sales Associate - $12.95/hour (30-40 hours a week)

Currently: Unemployed, random computer related "odd jobs" - $100-$500/month

Soon to quite possibly be: Canadian Forces Armored Soldier (Doesn't that sound completely baddass?) - $80/day for the first year, $120 or more/day after the first year (10-15 days/month because I'll be a Reservist)

Current: Just got re-hired to my old job at Public Works yesterday. Summer student worker, $12.48/hr, 40hr week.

Just had an interview with the Department of National Defense (civilian agency, purpose is a support wing of the Canadian Forces) yesterday morning, actually. I'm hoping to be hired to work at a Canadian Forces base in Alberta as an apprentice HD mechanic. Starting probably around $18 an hour for a work week between 40 and 50hrs.

Sweet, maybe I'll see you around if you move into the Alberta area for your CF service. You'll have fun fixing the G-Wagon that I'll inevitably break while training...

Got work lined up soon though, only temporary work though.

Pre-conference work, sending out leaflets, packing conference goodie bags. Easy work but extremely tedious.

9am - 5pm, probably for a week maybe a bit more. $8.75 dollars and hour.

I'm contacting various game companies around my area. The good: there are a lot of them. The bad: internships are mostly for college kids and even thoughs are filled up, but, in all honesty, if I didn't get paid the entire summer and programmed a mini game or modeled some content I would be more than happy. A paid job this summer would be a bonus, but not necessary.

Currently jobless, trying to get work with the nearby Staples as one of the PC technicians, otherwise giving blind employers job applications. At least, anyone who isn't Geek Squad. :gonk:

Actually, I don't think I'll get that Staples job. I've talked to the asst. managers there, and both of them say they desperately need the skills I have. The manager, however, keeps dodging me and my calls, probably because he doesn't want to push out another paycheck. No wonder such a tiny-ass place makes $8 million a year.

If dunno what my pay will be, but frankly, I don't care what it is at this point. I'll do graveyard shifts for .25 an hour, it's sure as hell better than 0.

Fuck this recession.

Currently an Army Reservist, great fun, at the moment I'm getting a daily rate of $70.72 but the hours are low for part timers, just 3 hour every Tuesday night and roughly one weekend every month, lately we've been flat out pretty much every Saturday though, Queen's birthday, training weekends and this weekend we've apparently got a live firing day coming up, should be good.

Roughly getting about $250 a month, not bad for a couples hours every Tuesday. I'm looking for full time work right now though, but with the world financial crisis, it makes things so much harder.

Dell (EqualLogic branch). Lab tech. prepare many arrays and racks to support testing. $18/hr 40 hour work weeks.

so you're the guys responsible for sending us a craptastic array. =P ours has had three separate instances where we've experience a drive failure (one of the times both our hot spares crapped out). all within the first four months of ownership too. also (not related to you) but our dell gold support failed to send us replacement drives the same day, we had to wait two days since the drives weren't available from the nearby distribution center <.<

err.. anyhow:

Job: Computer Technician at a university (unofficially: Sysadmin)
Payrate: too low to want to mention (read: under 25k/year)

One of the few perks of the job is that I play Halo throughout the day. My immediate supervisor(s) do too, so I can't get in trouble. :D
