You know, if they put the effort into it, 40k would be a great setting for the first GOOD Sci-Fi MMORPG...

sci-fi MMORPG's worry me tbh. There's no real way to do justive to a game with the entire galaxy as its stage.

Pooky linked me some early ingame footage of the older one(with dev commentary), seemed to be GoW:40K. This new one looks pretty different. Hopefully the combat is interesting and it's got a lot more shooty then the trailer suggests.

That's not hard to remedy... Just need a developer and publisher that's up for infinite expansion packs.

Wow, that looks so badass, much better than that leak that was out last year.

And a WoW sized community.
It's not going to happen, especially with that juggernaut still in the arena.

Well, hopefully it's good and doesn't fail before it's released like Tabula Rasa...

Don't they already have a Warhammer MMO?

Warhammer =/= Warhammer 40k

Warhammer is purely a fantasy universe, where as 40k is a sci-fi/fantasy universe. As much as some people like to think the two are related, they aren't officially.

Also, this is by Relic, so it looks promising. =3

Has Relic made an action game before? I'm pretty sure they made something like that for the consoles.

Not sure, but they did make Dawn of War I and II, and even though I am not fond of the second (they changed the play style to a type that I don't like), it's still a good game. Different genres, I know, but they know how to do the 40k universe justice.

That's not entirely true, they're completely related. Except that the timelines are separated by tens of thousands of years...

They share the concept of Chaos as a common element. Games Workshop has stated that the two are otherwise completely separate universes.

I remember talking to a Games Workshop employee A LONG time ago and he said they were the same. Just look at the race similarities.

Warhammer used to be set on a planet isolated in the Eye of Terror or something.

GW is practically a retcon machine.

What was wrong one with DOWII? I though about getting the game, but didn't cause I don't really like that GFWL crap.

I don't like how it's more of an RTT and less of an RTS. The only type of RTT I like is a space combat RTT. That's the only real beef I have with it.

Also, recently, GW has been trying to separate the two universes more, so that guy you talked to a long time ago has statements that don't hold up today.
