No, I'm not talking about the pro strategy, I'm talking about guys like this:

I've seen like 3 of them and I know a few other people who've seen them to.

I've killed one too.

What's with them? Is it some kind of training wheel to point out that they aren't friendly or something? :S

ps. that's not a medic beam on the spy, that's a dispensor

something to do with deadringer. i forget... as you have probably figured out they aren't actually ubered.

If you uncloak immediately after activating the dead ringer, you flash your team color until you die.

As far as I know, it's a bug.

I thought it had something to do with the updated disguises. You would randomly disguise and be ubered, but you wouldn't really be ubered.

Yeah, that's what I heard too. When you disguise as the spy the game would randomly choose a spy model, and sometimes smack you with the ubered spy. It's been there since the update, and hasn't been fixed.

Also you're playing hoodoo?

It's because if whoever your disguised as gets an uber charge, you get one too to make your disguise more 'realistic".

It happens a lot of a convoy sever I play on.

I havn't really played since the update, figured I'd give the new map a go.
It's a nice change from BW/GR, but there's a bit too many ARROWS OF DOOM corridors for my liking.

It's because if whoever your disguised as gets an uber charge, you get one too to make your disguise more 'realistic".

Because a lone uber pyro is totally not a dead giveaway. :rolleyes:

Sounds like a bug, if that's the case.

There are a bunch of other threads I found, but the general consensus is that it's a bug with the Dead Ringer's decloaking.

I noticed when I was a spy and I saw another spy like that I noticed it said:
"disguised as enemy" but no class following. Most definitely a bug.

Thats not it.

So me and that ubered soldier must have been a huge coincidence...
