how do you set up new ammo counter bitmaps in a hud interface?

Do you mean the display, as in the bitmaps that have icons for each round in a magazine?
Do you mean getting actual numbers set up?

You're not really being so clear - even beyond what tpye of counter you mean, "set up" is just about as general as you can possibly be.

Actual numbers. Like the numbers next to the grenade icon etc.

Alright then.

I believe the way you change the numbers (assuming that's what you mean) is by importing a font tag using the tool windows-font command, and then referencing it under your hud_globals.

No the numbers are actually a bitmap, I just dont know where the hell they go.

Are you sure they're meant to be a bitmap? I think they're set in this -
http://tehlag.modacity.net/one/pix/grhud.jpg
- part of the grenade_hud_interface tag, which has no reference area for a bitmap.

Yhea 100% sure becuase I already changed my font and the numbers stayed the same. Also becuase the bitmap exists. I just dont know where it gose.

The numbers are a bitmap located in the globals.globals tag. Ligntning once linked me to a page with an application that made them real easy for you, but I forget the link. You can always use the H2 numbers P0lar released in his H2 HUD though.

Ah, my bad then.

Yeah, they're referenced in a "hud_counter" tag, which in turn is part of globals.globals (look under the "interface bitmaps" section).

Well I replaced the bitmap, but ingame there's no change.

Did you replace it or reference a new one?

Replaced it, but the actual bitmap is different.

I'd guess that tool is loading the original one from loc/bitmaps.map, the same way it loads other "default" stuff like the hog skin. Change it to an entirely new reference from the globals.

Lag is correct. You could always hex edit your bitmaps.map, but that is only really useful for load screens and UIs. Just making it a new tag and refing it should do the trick.
