well the 1 vs 100 beta, for those who have played it, is something that is addicting...the trivia given is a nice broad range from the known to the obscure.

overall its fun, jsut ask nugget, played a round with him and a few of my friends. game is worth the DL when its finalized on xbox

Its a game show...so it converts well to a game? Doubt that.

One my of my friends won 8,000 MS points on this. Not in Extended Play, but in the real mode. I myself haven't played it yet, but the next date for the regular mode is scheduled for the 12th, just check the 1 vs 100 page.

No, it doesn't convert at all. It's still a game show.

All people signed into an episode of 1 vs 100 LIVE are put into The Crowd. Each round, 101 people are randomly chosen (with some weight from on their stats) to be The One and The Mob.

Everyone can play along for prizes. Obviously, The One is playing against The Mob for Microsoft Points. If The One either beats The Mob or takes the money and runs, s/he wins anywhere from 160 to 10,000 M$. If The Mob beats The One, the "cash" prize is split amongst them and they all win an XBLA title. The Crowd members earn points for answering quickly and correctly, and the top three scorers in The Crowd for each round win an XBLA title.

...however, in the beta, no skill-based prizes are actually given out. You earn sweepstakes entries for answering questions, and at the end of the beta they give out a few things (http://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/1vs100/prizing.htm). The real deal starts on Dec 31.

Despite that, it's still fun to play. I've seen a few funny moments playing it myself. For example, we were given the question "Despite recent technological advances, a fax machine cannot send what through a telephone line?" and choices "X) Fax paper A) Images B) Text." An alarming number of people got that wrong; half the frickin' mob was knocked out. :lol:
