I have a 8800 gts oc right not. Im thinking about getting the ati 4770. how much better is the 4770 then the 8800? i know there are better cards then the 4770 but thats wthin my price range. just wondering if its worth getting it.

The 4770 competes with the 9800gt
So you will get roughly the amount of upgrade as you would from the 8800gts to the 9800gt
Overall, I'd say its worth it.

It's performance is better than the 9800 GT, just a hair below the 4850 and the GTS 250. The tricky part is to finding a radeon 4770. It's all out of stock, at least in Canada.

He was talking to you about saving up.. the 4850's are only about 100 bucks.

The 4770 would be slightly better for the future since it would support OpenGL 3.0 instead of just 2.1

and we all know, saving up for the next generation is something that should be gleed upon, because that shit'll be blazing....and drilling holes in peoples' pockets because of the prices...
