How would I go about making a background image and music?

Want to make my own.

Ask on Facepunch.

I know some people who know but I can't get on steam atm and you'd get a quicker reply from them.

I think I'd rather wait.
I know how damn lazy that is, but I don't want to sign up for one question :/

You can ask other questions too!

Seriously, that's the garrysmod community.
It's Garry's own forum.

To change your background.

Before you do anything, your gonna need GCFScape. (http://nemesis.thewavelength.net/index.php?p=26) It also helps if you have the .vtf plugin (http://nemesis.thewavelength.net/index.php?p=39) for photoshop.
Open up GCFScape and choose garrysmod content.gcf

It depends if you use a widescreen or regular monitor. If you have a regular monitor you edit the background.vtf which is in materials/console and if you have a widescreen monitor, you would want to edit the background01_widescreen.vtf. Now open up your garrysmod folder and go to materials/console(If you don't have a console folder, just make one). Just drag and drop the background01.vtf or background01_widescreen.vtf into console. Now just open up the background in photoshop and just edit until your done and just don't forget to save.

Now for adding music

You would just copy and paste the mp3 you want into garrysmod/sound/ui(Again, if you don't have any of those folders, just make them). Now just rename your track to "gamestartup1"(without quotations) and your done. If you want to add different music to each startup, just add another mp3 and rename it to "gamestartup2".

Hope that helps you.
