My friend has always pretty much been an Archos fan. He just sent me a text showing me this. I think it actually looks kind of neat. What do you guys think?

you know, as popular as touch screens are getting, and I may end up eating these words, I dont think they will EVER phase out keyboards.

So... they're reintroducing UMPCs? And I care, why? We've had 9" tablets for years.

No one cares that you don't care. :mech:

And it's not so much the point that they've already existed. It's the point that it looks kind of neat and I wanted to share. So stfu. :downs:

Oh, so we should talk about the design? Looks like all their other stuff, and honestly, I don't like it. :3 The Archos 3 is nice, though.

Stop being a whore and get out of my thread. :mech2:

But yeah, I kind of have to agree.

My sister has used three HP/Compaq tablet PCs in the past (the kind with thin integrated foldable keyboards), and they all ran into problems so now she's on an outdated Fujitsu model. I'll pass this info along.

I like Archos products too...their 605 portable media player is one of the best portable gadgets in the world, with media file support galore (virtually no conversions needed), optional DVR capability, high res TV output, Wifi support, etc. Heck it can even be converted into a clunky yet effective GPS, although it won't have anyone throwing their Garmins out of the window anytime soon.

This 9" tablet looks pretty sweet, although I wish they would integrate a thin keyboard that folds behind the screen, like my sister's old tablet. Sometimes tablet owners will put their units on the table for a change and so a physical keyboard would become more convenient.

oooo, the eee tablet does sound interesting. i didn't like the keyboard size of the regular eee, so hopefully it has something closer to the aspire's keyboard and screen quality.
