Not sure if this is really Tech Talk or Off Topic since the thread is primarily about painting, even though the paints going on my PC case... Move it if you want...
So I've seen it mentioned on multiple websites, in tutorials and the like that it's good to do one of two things before painting the interior of my PC case. Apparently I should either sandblast or use paint primer on the parts that I'm going to paint, and my question is fairly simple... Is it really necessary to apply a primer coat to all of my components? Why is it better than just grabbing my Matte black spray paint and going at it?
