Firefox 3.5

Anyone using it? I just downloaded RC2 to my Mac (my previous 3.0 release was buggered so I decided to just try the RC instead.)

Can't really tell any improvements as far as performance goes yet, although I've never had any problems with it in OS X.

I'm using the private browsing feature right now, just for the hell of it. Only real reason I can see anyone using it is for porn.

E: For some reason 3.5 isn't displaying the gradient over the top banner of the site unless it's just broken. The Modacity logo image doesn't match the rest of the background. :?

Everything is getting rendered properly on this end. I'm using 3.0.

Then again, I've seen this thing lag rendering gradients.

I think I'm going to use 3.5. The firefox I'm using, 3.0, has some problems crashing when using java, and not properly exiting. Can you believe that after I exit Firefox keeps running in the background eating up more and more memory until it reaches 700mb sometimes? Is that a memory leak or what!

im using it right now. no visible different between this one and 3.0, although i havent gotten any of those random firefox crashes yet

running firefox 3.5 rc2. mighty impressed with the js rendering speed. cuts some pages load times in quarter.

Snappiest browser I've used so far. It's faster than Safari 4, which was the fastest for awhile, thus bumping Firefox to No. 1 on my list, followed by Safari, then IE8 (surprisingly enough...it's really fast on my computer). As much as I love Chrome, it's too slow and hasn't been updated in awhile now.

Now it's less of a pain to open tabs in Firefox. I've had it for under 30 seconds and I already like it better then 3.0.

Edit: Yay, no more memory leaks. Firefox had been running slowly for awhile. It seems everything is better now though for 3.5.

I hate it. If I have Photoshop open in the background, I get out of memory errors, even when I have several hundred MB of RAM left, then content on pages starts disappearing. Also, opening tabs with Java content temporarily freezes the browser.

I might make the switch to Chrome if this isn't fixed.

My computer is no speed racer but it appears to be running a bit faster than the previous version. I've had only 1 crash when loading java. I have to run it without Opera or IE open though.

I'm on a mac right now while i wait for my new PSU. I installed FF 3.5, but it won't save my preferences. I set it to accept cookies, then close prefs and open them again, and cookies are off again. I can't even set this shit in about:config, and I've just given up.

Are you sure your cookies file isn't corrupt?

Are there documented cases of this happening? Or is it just a bug with 3.5 on some systems?
