IF YOU DOWNLOADED THE OLD VERSION, DOWNLOAD THIS FILE AGAIN. MANY improvements have been made since the last beta.
To tell the versions apart, this map file is named Domain_beta_2.map.

Replace spiral stairwell

Also, I am NOT 100% sure if I fixed the problem with the bipeds.

Bungnull is playing Team Slayer on Domain for the rest of the night.

Bugs:
- The sign shown above isn't oriented correctly. Fix your eggs mister.
- The bipeds are completely messed up and spawn both alive and dead on the client
- The health pack station needs collision (it syncs perfectly, btw)

You know what... I had a fucking Mongoose at the Red base, but I took it out.
And there still IS a Ghost at blue base, you just need to set it to spawn.

Alright. Overall very good game play except the flamer should be moved to the rocket spawn and the rocket removed completely. The map is way to close quarters for a rocket to not be cheap. Almost all the fights happen near the rubble pile and teleport to secret room. There needs to be more incentive to move to the road and tent areas. I had like 3 kills there and all the others were AR and PR fights in the building area.

Also put a OS and a dead elite in the place where the flamer used to be. Make the spiral hall a airlift (i can provide tags for airlift) fix the over bright interiors.

Fix the ass load of jumps I found out of the map. Fix biped sync error (make them scenery with custom animations)

REMOVE COLLISION ON RUBBLE its very hard to maneuver with all those little bits of collision stopping you. Fix the fire doing damage to player. It's annoying when it stops shield regen.

And make the graffiti part of the BSP so it doesn't glow and kill my frame rate. MAKE FLASHLIGHT INFINITE you use it a lot.

If you dl'ed the old version, please redownload. This version is Domain_beta_2.map, to tell the versions apart.

Bacon, if you are still going to do the Bungnull for this, do you think you can add in a bit more than team slayer? This map supports all gametypes, so maybe some KOTH or CTF, or maybe even Oddball? Thanks.

E: The time is 12:26 AM Pacific. Sorry for the inconvenience, but I uploaded ONE last update to the first post, so if you downloaded the file between now and the time of this original posting (11:09 PM), you're outdated. I think I fixed the biped problem. I think.
I won't update anymore until beta 3, I promise.

E2: I saw you playing Domain, Llama Juice. I couldn't join your server, so I assume you're that one person who Filefront had told me downloaded the old file. Yeah. Make sure you download the new one. And sorry!

and the light in the warehouse is lower than your head... which just looks silly. I figured it was so you could jump on it, but you can't really jump on it... sooo... make it higher.

Also, the weird grate thing right infront of the big door to it just looks weird since it's not squarish and the grate inside it looks like it should be in a squarish hole

There's a light that has a flickering light near it, but the material for the actual light doesn't flicker with it... so it looks weird

Make a lot of your decals part of the BSP like others have said, just make a plane and put it really close to the wall (for the graphiti and stuff) and make it render only and all that.... then you shouldn't have glowing graphiti

Get rid of the wooden doors, expecially that huge 52 foot tall one by the medic tent, they look horribly out of place

The windows near the medic tent, looking into/outof the hallway where the pistol spawns... the UVs are all messed up there too. On the other side of the medic tent from those windows there's a wall with blue windows... just to the left and right of that are some polys that don't have a shader applied?.. or a broken shader? they're solid white just like your signs that you put on the main corner. Put something on those signs other than the white... it just looks bad.

Your window in the room with the sign that says "Complex Main" on it (between the medic tent and the crashed peli) is way too high, unless if it's not supposed to be used for combat...

Also... lots of messed up UVs... I didn't wanna describe all of em... so pix.

As far as I know, device_control tags will ALWAYS have no collision, even if you set them to have collision. They won't use it.

A fix would be to make the medkit dispencer into a device_machine, and then have a "dummy" device_control (No Model, Animations, Collision) and place it either on the inside of the dispencer or in front of it.

Use a script to link them together and voila!

The dispencer has collision and it works!

Alright beta 2 thoughts.
THE SPIRAL HALL MUST GO. It kills oddball because everyone rushes it. KOTH is fun but to many nades. I think 1 starting or plasma starting might cut down on the nade spam but the nades do add to the map and some sort of AOE weapon is needed since the rockets are no more.

CTF - Move 1 flag to the garage and the other to the medic tent. The current flag positions suck and are completely unbalanecd. Nuff said.

Oddball - Fun for me but thats cause I had 60 ping. :D Oddball will be perfect when the spiral hall is gone.

King - make the hill out of the clutter of all those corpses and boxes its hard to maneuver in it.

Make it so when you crouch it takes you off radar (h2 style) and FIX THAT BOX SPAWN DARRR

One of the death planes kills you if you jump out of the building and move forwards. Fix that.

I'm sure I've forgotten some other things but I'll tell you when I think of them.

Agreed. It's gone in the next build.

I was thinking 1 plasma and 1 frag, Arteen-style.

Doing that would require me to redo about 200 spawn points, and it won't... it won't be Turf anymore! *sob*

Box spawn fixed. I'm going to need you to walk me through getting off radar and having infinite flashlight, I can't get it working myself.

No, the server's not playing Domain anymore. Expect to see it again Friday or so, while I fix a few bugs with the ODSTs and severe framerate hits due to the new air lifts.

That's exactly what I'm running on my computer, so don't worry.

I know why I have a problem, it's just because the way Inferno's grav air lifts work, it requires placing a fuckload of scenery in a single spot on a map which is pushing the limits of the Halo engine already. Inferno says he doesn't have the problem, but I do, so I'm not going to stop until its fixed.

Fake edit: I made the problem slightly better by eliminating some of the lift's scenery and just upping the individual power of each lifter-scenery-thingy, allowing the lift to still do its job while using less ingame resources.
I also exactportaled the vent containing the lift and the room the lift is in itself, which got rid of most of the problem.

I think its just my computer's age issues which is still causing a problem, but I'm getting a playable FPS, so I'd imagine on a not-barely-functional computer things will be fine.
Now I have to sort out an annoying bug with the ODSTs not listening to my multipurpose map when it comes to changing colors.

You know there is a way to make the lift with just 1 damage effect but you have to make the hole deeper and put a "false bottom" in the middle. Then put a giant radius at the bottom under neath the false bottom so that 1 side of the large damage effect sort of "covers" the false bottom.

ASTHETICALLY:
Flickering signs pl0x.
More street sounds coming from outside the level.
Attach a sound effect to the phantom, it's just weird having this huge silent thing hovering around the map.
Fix the LOLBRIGHT buildings.
The ramps in the building that lead to the flamethrower are fuckugly. It's like they're lopsided and again, painfully bright. It's like you've done a totally different lighting effect inside them. Spot lighting, dynamic lights, flames, CAN YOU USE THEM?
The magically appearing bodies shit me too. Can't you just make them scenery or something? Do it how WTC did them in the secret room?
Put the cockbite soda machines back in :P

From the flamethrower room, around the edges there. Make a fucking invisible player barrier there or something, don't put a kill trigger. Nothing shits me more than me trying to explore a map and randomly dieing for no reason! >___<

It SHOULD make noise, but it doesn't. I probably need to attach the sound to a marker on the Phantom itself rather than have it just... there.

That ENTIRE staircase is now gone. You get up top through a damaged heating vent which pushes you up.

Scenery would be possible, but then it wouldn't bleed, or behave like... well, a body.

Searching for the tags now. If none can be found, I'll get to work on some.

I've been wanting to put something there. I'll probably put Master Chief's penis a long metal rod to make the second bridge, the needler there is under-used.
