BANFREE now BOTFREE!

Might as well let those of you that care on this website know that I've changed my "BANFREE" server to a "BOTFREE" server. I'm looking for more responsible admins (sorry Selentic) to idle the server and sight jack botters. I don't want to import any existing botter banlists because there's always the chance that people have reformed/got bored of the bot. I just reinstalled CE today for the first time in probably a year and this was the first server I joined, great ping and cool people. Thanks for the good server!

I'm going to be removing SAPP from the server later tonight because I experienced two mass disconnects in under 5 minutes when I was playing earlier today. Surprisingly everyone rejoined almost instantly. Until the disconnect issues with SAPP are addressed I'm going to stick with just Rec0's app for awhile.

Possibly, I caved and joined the "Halo CE Public" server group. So my server is running as "! Halo CE Public #1 LANCERS EDGE", but all of my server rules and stuff stated on the official website still apply.

It was. The person said Freelancer was the admin of that server. Though that could very well be false.

Obvious snappers yes, however those fools arent the ones we need to worry about really. Its the ones who actually are smart and use it.

The videos where its touch and go where they are botting, need to be frame by frame videos, this is why alot of decent members get accused, and have "proof" videos on them, because there are idiots who use sight jacker, and think "damn thats some crazy skills" and then ban them, case in point, king's ridiculous bans....what server was that on? :O oh I dont know, Freelancers?

Botters are swineYes, but your "guilty until proven innocent" logic can cause innocent players to suffer. We attacked botters pretty hard a few years ago, but we didn't do so at the expense of others (innocents).

Wow, this thread is about a server, hes asking for fucking admins. So dont blow this over by saying its unrelated.

People make mistakes yes, admins shouldnt. They arent just "regular people",they need to have their wits about them, they need experience in community, and have a general understanding of who is legit-ly good. This is why King was banned, some complete noob was given admin and had no idea.

Botters should be recorded, banned, then reviewed by more experienced people. If the video doesn't show a bot, they're unbanned, and everyone's happy.

That's what happened with King, though an admin of any server on CE should know who the good players are by now.
