HCE Announcement at 7:00 PM EST

Just wanted to get word out that there will be an announcement regarding the Bunghole at 7:00pm eastern tonight (which is in less than 20 minutes). While I don't want to spoil what the surprise is. I'll let loose a detail of it to let you guys hang for a bit. ;)

Well guys, the announcement is that HCEL will be making a comeback. That's right, the HCEL is in fact returning. HOWEVER, it is not the same format as before. Instead of there being 5 on 5s. There will be 2 on 2s. Also, remember the whole thing about being for bragging rights? Well there will be a prize. Right now the prize is set to $25. It's not a lot of money I know. However, you can change that with donations to kwalker1988@gmail.com. Every penny helps. Heck, even donate two bucks. If everyone in the league does it, then the money will add up.

Another thing to note is that I was considering doing a best of three series, however. I wanted to see how you all would react to that before making a decision on that.

The deadline for submitting rosters is July 5th. The Rulebook isn't final, however. 95% of it is complete, it's just the gameplay rules I need to fix up and it'll be all good.

Any questions just hit me up. As for admins, I'm on the look out for admins so if you're interested PM me. Just remember that you have to be responsible and that I have to know you. ;)

The reason I have it set as a 2 on 2 is because having it set to a 5 on 5 or even a 4 on 4 proved that it was nothing but a disaster. A lot of people's schedules have changed over the years, vacations will come up, and so on. With a 2 on 2, it at least has less headaches involved. As far as the three players allowed on each roster, that is only because of the money involved. I'm considering allowing 4 players but getting donations would be a major help. Would increase the pot and plus allow me to not pony up as much money from my bank account. Cause this is my own money we're talking about here!

As far as this being allowed to players outside of the Halo CE community, that is a no. Why? I understand that there would be a lot of players who would be completely against it and plus I really don't want to deal with kids who actually take this game seriously... All I really want is to see a good game with some fun involved.

And one more thing, remember the All Star Game that was being planned? Well, when the tournament is all set and done, the HCEL admins will vote on the top 10 players (with substitutions) for a 5 on 5 game. No money will be involved in this game, it'll just be for a little ol' fun.

The Rule Book is 99.99% done. Just needs to be proof read and it's all done. Your admins at this point include, myself, Ducky, and Rook.
