For those of you unfamiliar with the game, Evil Genius can be best summed up as as "Sim World Domination." Pick one of three megalomanaical masterminds (each has certian statistical bonuses), build your secret underground lair inside a mountain, and get to work conquering the free world. The construction of the underground lair is particularly well-done, as are the hilarious combinations of hidden agent-foiling traps. For example, have an enemy walk on a pressure pad, which activates a wind turbine, which blasts them back into a flamethrower and piranha pit.

Half-RTS, half-management simulation, it presents itself as a parody of all the Cold War-era spy movies (long before TF2 stole the concept, mind you.) Genuinely funny, very intelligent, a bit frustrating, but overall one of the better purchases I made when I got it upon its initial release back a few years ago.

Awesome game for awesome people. Buy it! :pcgaming:

Hmm it looks pretty fun and hilarious from the video I watched but I can't help but feel like I'll regret buying it once I try to play it myself. I also read it has horrible game breaking bugs...like certain features don't even work...

Try the demo first then, there was a downloadable demo version last I knew. My brother has it but doesn't play it much. I wonder whether one can have just as much fun with the demo as the full version in this case since its happened to me with some games. :(

Of course you can have as much fun as a full game of nowadays with a demo of a game this old. The old demos had alot of features and last quite long. I've spent hours at a time making my base and killing spec ops and ninjas(well the look like ninja to me not sure).

for some reason it's impossible for me to finish the third island though, when you need to steal all the oil and components for the rocket and shit. ive got my base LOADED with everything, but for some reason, i can't complete any of the following stuff and launch my weapon :<
