Just yesterday I had a problem, my ping has jumped from a normal 130 -160 range, to over 700. I tried playing Halo CE today but my ping was at 700. I had a ping of 1200 yesterday, and another ping of 900 yesterday to. Does anyone know whats wrong and how I can fix it?

This should be obvious but are you playing in home hosted servers of people with crappy net/computers or an actual dedicated server?

I'm playing on servers which I previously had a low, reasonable ping. Like Banfree/botfree 24/7 (freelancers server). I'm no newbie to this, I know when its me or the server. In this case I don't know whats causing it.
PS: its not a virus or whatever, I ran a check just a few days ago and I never visited any suspicious sites since then.
