POST EDITREPLACED 12/21.

So one day, I got bored and decided to continue working on this mod. I've pretty much done as much as I care to at this point. I'm making a video now in case you care about that kind of thing, Video done. Not showing off Minimalistic because it doesn't need demonstration and you probably wouldn't be able to see it anyway due to shit video quality.

Ifafudafi's Crysis Blood Mod
Readmes are generally boring, so to mix things up (both for myself and anyone who reads this) I've presented this readme in the form of a screenplay for a 60's advertisement.

[MR. JOHN is walking down the street in the suburbs. BILLY approaches from behind.]
BILLY: Hi, Mr. John!
[MR. JOHN pauses and turns around.]
MR. JOHN: Oh, hello, little Billy! Say, have you heard about Ifafudafi's Blood Mod for Crysis?
BILLY: I sure have, sir! But I'm not sure what it's all about...
MR. JOHN: That's okay. I'll give you the rundown!
BILLY: Gee, thanks Mr. John!
[MR. JOHN resumes walking. BILLY accompanies him.]
MR. JOHN: No problem, Billy! This mod simply adds improved blood effects to Crysis without interfering with gameplay. It's got entirely new particle effects and a vastly improved decal system!
[BILLY adopts a rather confused expression.]
BILLY: What's a decal system?
MR. JOHN: Decals are marks left on various objects. Usually, they're bullet holes and various types of dirt, but they also work equally well for blood splatters.
[BILLY is awestruck.]
MR. JOHN: In vanilla Crysis, blood decals rarely appear; and when they do, they're often inconsistent and incongruous. Here, a nice splatter will appear on walls behind enemies, and a pool (if it appears) will slowly spread out from dead corpses.
BILLY: Wow!
MR. JOHN: The decals also have environment maps on them! Do you know what those are, Billy?
[BILLY shakes his head, but looks extremely eager.]
MR. JOHN: This means that the decals will be more volumous; they'll also shine like liquid instead of seeming like discolored scratches.
BILLY: That's really neat, mister!
MR. JOHN: It sure is, Billy! But here's the best part.
[BILLY claps excitedly.]
MR. JOHN: The mod now comes with three different effects and decal systems: Minimalistic, Realistic, and Sadistic! In the Minimalistic .pak, a small, slight spray will appear when you shoot enemies. Wall decals are small and light, and pools are exceptionally rare; when they appear, they are very small.
BILLY: So Minimalistic is for weak-stomached sissies who shouldn't be downloading this mod anyway?
MR. JOHN: Exactly right, Billy!
[MR. JOHN pats BILLY on the back.]
MR. JOHN: The second .pak, Realistic, is the default setting, so to speak; it's the option the mod is best designed for. Enemies will emit a nice spray; it will look like red smoke from a distance, but if you get up close, you can see the individual particles shimmer, and you'll also notice a small squirt of fluid! Wall decals will be light (not bright, but less volumous) when
enemies are shot; but when you shoot one in the head, you'll get a much thicker splatter. Pools will appear frequently and will be fairly large.
BILLY: So what's the Sadistic .pak do?
[MR. JOHN appears excited.]
MR. JOHN: With Sadistic on, shooting enemies will cause liters of blood to burst from every bullet wound; each shot will cause enemies to lose as much blood as they should have in their entire body! Wall decals are massive and thick, and pools will always appear and will always be extremely large!
[MR. JOHN finishes with a massive grin on his face. BILLY has an even bigger smile.]
MR. JOHN: Sounds fun, doesn't it?
BILLY: Sure does, Mr. John!
[All of the sudden, BILLY adopts a rather concerned look.]
BILLY: But that's not very realistic, Mr. John...
[MR. JOHN kicks BILLY in the testicles. BILLY drops to the ground, wincing in pain.]
MR. JOHN: Of course! That's why it's not on the Realistic setting, you dolt! If you don't like it, go make your own mod.
[BILLY gets up and looks reassured.]
BILLY: Oh, I see! So if I've got any problem with the mod, I should stick a three-foot log up my anus?
MR. JOHN: Not quite, Billy! If you have any genuine suggestions for improvement, constructive criticism is always welcome. But if the only thing you can say is "LOL SUCKS" or "NEEDS MORE/LESS GOAR" then feel free to have fun with that log of yours.
BILLY: Gee, thanks for the info, Mr. John! I think I'll go download that mod right now!
[MR. JOHN smiles warmly.]
MR. JOHN: Good choice, Billy! I'd download it too if my computer wasn't held together with duct tape and running on power from a hamster wheel!
BILLY: Bye, Mr. John!
MR. JOHN: Bye, Billy!
[BILLY runs off in a seperate direction. MR. JOHN continues walking with a pleased expression.]

Minimalistic is the zu_blood_m.pak, Realistic is zu_blood_r.pak, and Sadistic is the other one. To install, place the one you want inside your Crysis/Game directory (default Program Files/Electronic Arts/Crysis/Game). Move the .pak elsewhere to uninstall.
Accredit everything new here to Ifafudafi, the rest to EA/Crytek. Feel free to further modify and/or learn from everything here, so long as you give credit where it is due.
Get it at Filefront (http://www.filefront.com/15188931/crysis_ifaf_blood.zip) (4.26 MB).
