OK last thread of mine about recon was just a joke and people got mad. Well today I just read on B.net that on Bungie day this coming month they will be giving out recon by beating some Bungie employees. Read here for more info. (http://www.bungie.net/News/content.aspx?type=topnews&link=BWU062609) Anyway just wanted eveyone that doesn't read the weekly updates on B.net to also have the same chance like everyone esle will.

Also I know people will get Recon when ODST comes out. I'm just made this thread to inform everyone who will care or just want to beat some Bungie employees.

Yeah I have to agree. Except the one in the sandbox's tomb. Where it was huge and open. Got raped in that. Final score was like 50-19. Was not good. I got 2 kills. But all the other maps are fun.

Fucking throw in some hill or something, christ, the game supports more than just two multiplayer engines :|

Holy shit, it's like that map was thrown together by a blind 3 year old downer learning how to use forge for the first time.

Ew, BR games are the worst. People complained about pistol games in Halo 1, and then turn around and get the same thing with the BR and say it's awesome, and that is just assinine. Actually, at least it wasn't merely a weapons match in Halo 1, Halo 2 and 3 battles are almost always determined by who has the best gun.

Rockets are no longer power weapons (they are slow as fuck and do no damage unless its a direct hit), brute shot sucks, the pistol is weak as hell (dual wielding is awesome - kills in 4 headshots). Every weapon is the same. In Halo 1, every weapon was unique in its own area. Rockets were lethal if you were anywhere near them and the pistol was lethal if you knew how to wield it. If you pick up a stronger weapon than you start with, you should get to use it to its advantage. Just as long as the designers are smart enough to not place the power weapon in a camping spot where they are untouchable, it is fine.

My point was that it didn't take skill to win in the later two games due to a combination of tying wins to weapons, huge hitboxes, and that ever-screwy melee lunge. In Halo 2 and 3, which ever gun does theoretically more damage per second usually wins. Halo 1, you could kill a man with a Plasma Pistol even if he's using a Rocket Launcher, given enough skill.

Other point was people complaining about pistol being overpowered in Halo 1 and then being OK with the overpowered BR in Halo 2/3. It's contradictory.
