Well just now on CNN. I heard the gov. of Alaska as most of you know Sarah Palin is stepping down, and won't be our gov. anymore. FREEDOM AT LAST! I just hope this is true. Right now I don't have a source but if I'll a link once someone posts it on the internet.

Of course they put a positive spin on it.

"She thinks she has accomplished goals she has set forward," one of the sources, speaking on the condition of anonymity, said. "She sees what a positive influence she has had on people's lives from traveling the country in the last year."

Whatever.

She had accomplished goals? Like what make a crappy layout of the gas pipeline in paint?

This turned from good news to even better news when I heard shes doing this to focus on a 2012 presidential run. The Republicans will scoop her up and make her their nominee, and then Obama will win the election because he was running against Palin.

4 more years motherfucker.

bankrupting wasilla?

The only thing that is in wasilla are lakes, camping grounds, a wal-mart and more un needed shit lol. I havn't been up to wasilla for awhile, So a bankrupt wasilla in my mind is basically no camping grounds and a wal-mart that got shut down and is inhabited by hibernating grizzly bears, sounds like a place where I want to live. Actually the best thing about Wasilla is the fireworks that you can't use legally, lol.

/offtopic: Hey and to give you guys a warning if you come up here; if you go to fairbanks at all, be aware that you will get stung like crazy by yellow jackets.

The only one thing I like about Sarah Palin is that she helped Obama win the election by being herself :p.

It's not like she's resigning due to scandal. She's too stupid.

No. I have the distinct impression that she is resigning now because she has plans to run for higher office in the near future. She was quoted as saying last year after the election that she wanted to run for senate and possibly make a run for president.

God help us all?

she's going to run for president in 2012. it's obvious. everyone knows it's obvious. oh well.

I pray to god hillary doesn't try to run. if she did, she'd take away enough from obama to let palin gain a majority vote. it's going to take some smart fucking campaigning to get to the end goal of 2012. i pray to god obama doesn't fuck up enough for that psychotic bitch to gain a stranglehold on him.

It's quite a bad move to resign 3 years before the election if she's trying to go for it IMO. That's really opening yourself up to "placed ambition before her constituents" accusations.

Wait, you get people running against elected leaders who are kicking ass in the poles for the same party in the US?

I will actively campaign for Palin during the primaries to ensure that she gets nominated, and that Obama wins in the biggest. landslide. ever.

For non-Americans:
There are a few candidates for election per party.
The Primaries are a vote to narrow the actual election down to 1 candidate per side.
Then the actual election determines which side wins and becomes president.

If Hilary runs in the primaries, then she might barely win. It was close last time.
If she wins, then Palin has a chance. :gonk:

PopeAK49
July 5th, 2009, 02:41 PM
I highly doubt people would favor Palin over Hilary.

There are not going to even be any Democratic primaries this upcoming presidential election. Incumbent Presidents generally get an automatic nomination from their party.

That's what I'm getting at.
He's obviously going to be pretty damn popular at the next election, so it'd be political suicide for both the party and the candidate to challenge him.
